News I just got the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM lens for my camera. It should make a much better walk around lens than the 18-55mm kit lens that I've been using.  I also expect the Image Stabalization to come in handy when I'm shooting in low light situations. I shot a few test shot with it this morning to get the hang of it.  I've uploaded one of the ones that I like to my gallery.  It's a pine tree silhouetted against the sunrise. I'm also finally done with college (at least for a while).  I turned in my last take-home final yesterday.  I'm certainly not going to miss late nights studying for tests or pulling all-nighters to get

News I've finally finished uploading all the photos I've had in the queue.  The last batch is from a trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Also, I'm done with half of my classes this semester, two have everything finished up, and there's only two finals between me and graduation. News The next batch of photos that I've uploaded are from a trip to Lake Superior further out the Keweenaw Peninsula than Houghton.  They're all pictures of essentially the same thing; shiny black boulders that the waves were splashing against, just taken at different angles and focal lengths.  The great this about waves and water is, it never looks the same twice.
